Low-fat avocados are actual things that exist, apparently

Fatty avocados are the perfect fruit: a healthy fat, ready to adorn your salad/toast/insert food here with a dose of creamy, green goodness.

Yet the marketing powers that be want you to consider an alternative: The low-fat avocado.

Per Fresh Plaza, Spanish produce brand Isla Bonita just launched Aguacate Light, with about 30 percent less fat than the fruit’s more popular varieties — the Haas avocado, for instance.

Ramón Rey of Isla Bonita tells Fresh Plaza that their avocado “has a mild flavor and a juicier and lighter pulp” than avocados traditionally found in the supermarket. …
